Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access our website or use our services.

Our Services

The Painters London provides bespoke painting, decorating, and specialist finishing services for residential and commercial properties in London. Our services include, but are not limited to, interior and exterior painting, Venetian plaster application, gilding, period property decoration, and bespoke wallcovering installation.

Consultations and Quotations

Our consultation and quotation process operates as follows:

• Initial virtual briefings are provided complimentary
• In-home assessments are charged at £150, credited in full to your project upon engagement
• Studio colour curations are charged at £300, credited in full to your project upon engagement
• All quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue
• Quotations are based on the scope discussed and may be revised if scope changes

Engagement and Payment

Upon acceptance of a quotation:

• A 30% deposit is required to secure your project dates
• An interim payment of 40% is due at the midpoint of the project
• The remaining balance is due upon satisfactory completion
• Payment terms may vary for larger commissions and will be specified in your contract

Project Execution

We commit to executing all work with the highest standards of craftsmanship. Our team will protect your property and furnishings appropriately, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and communicate regularly throughout the project. Any variations to the agreed scope must be confirmed in writing before proceeding.

Quality Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our work. All projects include a warranty against defects in workmanship for a period of two years from completion. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by third parties, or issues arising from building movement or substrate failure. Specialist finishes may have extended warranty terms as specified in your project contract.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel or postpone your project:

• Cancellation more than 14 days before start: full deposit refund less £250 administrative fee
• Cancellation 7-14 days before start: 50% of deposit retained
• Cancellation less than 7 days before start: deposit non-refundable
• Postponements are subject to availability and may incur rescheduling fees

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and design elements, is the property of The Painters London and is protected by copyright law. Photographs of completed projects may be used by The Painters London for portfolio and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Limitation of Liability

The Painters London's liability for any claim arising from our services shall be limited to the total value of the relevant project contract. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Changes to Terms
